Visiting Seattle

Seattle is only a three hour drive from me in Portland, but for some reason I make a trip up there way less frequently than I would like! I need to make it at least a yearly trip, because there is way too much to do in just one weekend!

David had planned a trip to Seattle for us as my birthday present, but we chose to go in the spring rather than fall/winter so we could enjoy more outdoor activities. We kept the trip nice and relaxed, mainly just wandering around the city, eating great food, having great drinks, and simply enjoying Seattle. Our one real excursion was taking the ferry over to Bainbridge Island, which is only about a 30 minute ferry ride from the Seattle waterfront. Bainbridge is the most adorable town- I absolutely fell in love! Being on the ferry was great as well and afforded us some fabulous views of the city. Some highlights were eating at Biscuit Bitch, drinks at Rachel’s Ginger Beer, and checking out Fremont Brewing on our way out of town.

I can’t wait to plan another trip soon- leave your Seattle must-dos in the comments!
