I think one of the most beautiful places in the United States is Palos Verdes, a city in LA that is just slightly south of Torrance Beach. My mom was lucky enough to grow up there, and I was lucky enough to get to go visit my grandparents multiple times a year growing up. They kept the same house that my mom grew up in, and some of my fondest memories are from vacations there laying by the pool, shopping with my grandma, biking with my grandpa, and lots of days spent at the beach.
Both of my grandparents passed away when I was in high school, and my mom and her sister sold their house in 2009. Even though we are no longer able to go to the family home all the time, Palos Verdes still has such a special place in my family. My mom and aunt go to visit maybe once every other year, and I have gone maybe 3 or 4 times since my grandparents passed away. A few weeks ago was my moms 40th high school reunion and she invited me to a mother daughter trip in Palos Verdes before she met up with all of her high school friends. It was pretty last minute which made it seem extravagant and exciting, and we got to stay at one of the most beautiful resorts around, Terranea.
Terranea is a gorgeous, full service resort right in the heart of Palos Verdes overlooking the Pacific Ocean. They have 4 pools, a beautiful spa, eight restaurants, a golf course, activities and more! You could spend a whole week at the resort and not be bored for a second. It is the perfect place to relax, recharge and enjoy the beauty of the California coast. Below is a photo tour of the resort to get me through until my next vacation!
