To Do: April 2018

April is going to be a busy month for me- I'm attending a good friends wedding, heading to the beach for a couples retreat, and of course working hard at real estate now that the spring market is picking up!! I'm still going to fit in as many of the below activities as I can though! I hope you can get out there and enjoy spring as well!

Old House Revival Tour

April 14 throughout Portland. As a Realtor I love anything to do with looking at homes, so this event is right up my alley! This self-guided tour gives you the opportunity to see inside several Portland area houses, each providing ideas and information on how you can restore spaces lost to previous remodels, create new spaces that are sensitive to the architecture of the home, or preserve original building materials. With the ongoing struggle over old house demolitions, the AHC feels it is vital to demonstrate that older homes can be adapted to a 21st century lifestyle while not losing all of their original style, historic character, and charm.

Design Week Portland

April 14-21, citywide. Design Week Portland is a week-long, city-wide series of programs exploring the process, craft, and practice of design across all disciplines. Our mission is to increase appreciation and awareness about design and its far-reaching effects on matters of cultural and social relevance, including community development, education systems, and the economy. Many of the events are either free or low-cost so that experiencing the amazing designs is accessible for everyone!

Portland Pizza Week

April 16-21 at pizza shops all over Portland! Literally one of my favorite events of the year, Portland Pizza week offers $2 specialty slices at over 30 different restaurants in Portland. The slices are always unique and tasty, and you can't beat $2 per slice! Once the specialty slices are announced my friends and I like to plan a day of hitting 5 or 6 different restaurants and sharing slices so that we can try as many as possible!

Oregon Orchid Show & Sale

April 21st and 22nd at Aquinas Hall. Plant lovers should not miss this great convention featuring a huge variety of orchids! Vendors provide knowledgeable tips and tricks, live demonstrations, seminars, and of course gorgeous orchids for sale!!
