The Perfect Sangria

Sangria is usually my go-to drink when throwing a party for a group, especially when you aren't sure of everyone's alcohol preferences. Some people like wine, some like beer, some like whiskey or vodka or rum... there are too many choices! A good sangria appeals to many different palates, is easy to make, and is delicious. This recipe includes champagne, which gives the perfect amount of bubbles. Enjoy!

  • 1 bottle of white wine (my favorite is pinot grigio, and I suggest something on the drier side)
  • 1 bottle of champagne
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 lemon (just the juice)
  • 1 orange
  • a variety of berries, whatever is in season (I used strawberries, raspberries and blueberries)

  1. Mix pineapple juice, white wine and the juice of 1 lemon in a pitcher
  2. Wash all of the fruit, peel the orange, and add to the pitcher
  3. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours
  4. Before serving, add in champagne and mix well
  5. To serve, spoon fruit into each glass, then pour liquid over top and garnish with fruit
